The beginning of the end.

The Chinese have a saying “生不带来，死不带去” so let’s start from there on. We come into this world buck-naked and the first thing we receive is a slap on the ass by the doctor. There is no pain, we have not learnt it yet, but we are not used to it, and so we cry.
From there onwards, we start trading with the people that we meet. We manage a ‘papa’ or ‘mama’ in exchange for a smile, a whoop, a phone call to grandma. We start a conversation to be spoken back to in return. We attend birthday parties with presents in hand to ensure that we won’t be spending ours alone.
With that trade, I believe we leave behind something important, something dear, something that is able to transcend time and space. That something is immaterial, but we are able to grasp it all the same. At this point, the five senses take a backseat along with science. Neurons, synapses and other related jargon may explain why and how we feel what we feel, but it is of no relevance.
What we leave behind is a memory. It could be a one that people recall when stuck in an examination hall. It could also be one people conjure before hitting the red button. It could be one that people revisit in their beds while trying to fly airplanes if you are blessed from birth.
From that memory, we emote. We start to have impressions. We start to think about future interactions with those involved. Some of the times we do what we want to. We go out for a movie, utter a scathing remark or even jump into a nice loft of hay together. Sometimes we don’t. Maybe it’s because we don’t possess the courage to. Or perhaps we lack the motivation to.
So before it’s too late, I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ from the bottom of what’s left of my heart. I am not going to list all of 4D down and start thanking each one. To segregate this way would be grossly inappropriate and would not reflect my current state of mind properly. Instead I would just do it as I feel should be done. Thanks to all of 4D ’09, who shared their time, their opinions, their presence. I might be guilty of taking too much, giving too little. I might have went overboard sometimes, slept in one too many lessons, etc etc. But I still do enjoy, appreciate and love you all (where ‘love’ means the friendly Asian love we all know, not the ‘I-want-to-procreate’ kind of love that is strictly reserved for people like Mr Hor and Kendrick and Si zheng and …)

Next comes the rant: I failed very badly so yeh, I don't think I'm staying. I don't even think I'll be happy staying because I am already a little pissed off at myself for staying for 4 years in a school that I hate.
The best thing that happened in RV would be infocomm club mates and class 3D'o8/4D'o9. Luckily, teachers are nice and understanding people (the teachers I have the worst impression of have either gone or they've never taught in my classes), and actually the reason I hate this school is just because I hate the school for being what it is. It's not the curriculum, it's not the people, it's not environment. I admit they have some nice stuffs, like the cartoon drawing for E&C week in sec 1 (not happy that they never offered it anymore after that year). I just dislike the school for its reputation (good school, IP, 传统 chinese school, whut? I just wanna be in a regular neighbourhood school.), and that the daughter of the chinese tutor I don't really like used to study there.

It's hard for anyone to make me hate an individual person. To make me hate you, you must be a total asshole or someone who's wasting my time (which constitutes the asshole part, but the latter is if you don't wanna admit you're in my list of assholes)

Current list of assholes:
30+ year old educated-seeming woman who randomly scolded me in the bus before she alighted when I was in primary 4? (she's the only one in the list, so that shows how much of an asshole she is/was, because whenever I think of her I can't stop cursing her and have the urge to mentally torture her back if I had the chance to)

List of people who aren't assholes yet but a step close to being one:
1 teacher in RV who accused me of something I wasn't doing when I was in sec 2.

List of people who aren't assholes, but I don't really like as well:
School counsellor. Seriously, she just wastes my time. I just never had the heart to tell Mdm Guo/the counsellor herself that her counselling is useless because she's a really nice lady

I will miss comclub and 4D \o/ I will bring loads of candies for you all during class chalet (if I remember to LOL). I don't know some of you that well, but the whole of 4D is friendly so..yeah. *_*
